The Lector is called to proclaim the lessons from Holy Scripture and sometimes the Petitions, at Sunday and weekday liturgies and on other special occasions.
This is a group of parish members especially delegated to provide a friendly, welcoming environment at our weekend Masses in order to help our worshipping family with a sense of belonging and a desire to participate. Ushers also help seat Mass attendees and assist with the line for receiving communion.
Since we are not using misselettes in the pews, volunteers help to operate the projector during Sunday Masses to display the Scripture readings and the song lyrics.
These parishioners who serve as ministers of Holy Communion are commissioned to offer the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ to other members of the church at Sunday, weekday and Holy Day Masses.
Boys and girls are trained to assist the priest at the altar during Mass and other liturgical celebrations. All parish young people from 5th grade through high school are eligible.
Volunteers who take responsibility for upkeep of vestments, altar linens and candles, and other sacred items used in the liturgies. Some light dusting and vacuuming is done on the weekends.
