Opportunities for Service to Parish

If your child is missing hours in the area of Service to Parish, here are a few upcoming opportunities they could take advantage of.

PSR Stations of the Cross - 2 hours
Friday, March 17, 7 p.m. (arrive by 6:30 p.m. for practice)

Practice on Tuesday, March 14, 8-8:30 p.m. (after PSR)

Our PSR students will be leading our Parish Stations of the Cross on Friday, March 17. It will be a beautiful evening of prayer as well as allowing your child to earn service hours. Sign up at https://bit.ly/psrstations or email Tara (psr@borromeoparish.com) if your child is interested in participating. (If you have younger children, they are welcome to come and help too, even if they don't need service hours!)

Parish Fish Fry - up to 4 hours
Every Friday through March 31, 3:30-8:30 p.m.

Our Fish Fry committee could use student help in a variety of ways every Friday from setup to cleanup and lots of things in between. You can sign your child up at https://bit.ly/scbfishfrysignup23 to work a 1-hour, 2-hour, or 4-hour slot, or if slots are filled, you can contact Tammy Buehler at scbfishfry@gmail.com or 314-691-1774 and see where she could use some extra help!

Mass Servers - 1 hour each Mass
All weekend Masses, especially those in English

If your child is interested in serving at our weekend Masses, they can be trained soon and then serve for service hours (and hopefully beyond for good stewardship to the parish!). Please email  email Tara (psr@borromeoparish.com) or talk to Deacon Carlos at PSR if your child is interested in being trained.

Projector Operators at Mass - 1 hour each Mass
All weekend Masses in English

We often need help operating the projector with the song lyric slides during our weekend Masses. If your child is interested, please email Tara (psr@borromeoparish.com) or Fr. Dotson (frdotson@borromeoparish.com) with the dates and times your family is available.

Mass Ministers for the Easter Triduum - 1-2 hours each
Holy Thursday, 7 p.m.; Good Friday, 7 p.m.; Easter Vigil (Saturday), 8 p.m.

We could use some ushers/greeters for these Masses and services, as well as one person each night (preferably bilingual) to operate the projector. Please email Tara (psr@borromeoparish.com) if you are interested in helping out!

PSR Setup/Cleanup - 1/2 hour each
Before PSR (6-6:30 p.m.) and after PSR (8-8:30 p.m.)

Tara and some of the catechists could use some help setting up and taking down the Stations of the Cross on the top floor of the school, setting up and taking down chairs & tables in some spaces, and preparing for PSR in a variety of ways. If your child can arrive early to PSR or stay late some nights, please email Tara (psr@borromeoparish.com) so she knows your child is coming and can prepare tasks for them.

Blood Drive Helpers - up to 4 hours
Tuesday, March 21, 2-7 p.m.

If your family isn't going anywhere on Spring Break, we could use your child's help at the Blood Drive! Setup begins at 2, helpers are needed from 3-6 to serve beverages and snacks and run errands, and cleanup begins at 6. Contact Barb Bott at 636-947-3939 or bjbott@msn.com if your child is interested.

Ladies Sodality Lenten Tea Setup & Cleanup - up to 4 hours
Setup: Friday, March 31, 7-9 p.m.; Cleanup: Saturday, April 1, 1:30-3:30 p.m.

Our Ladies Sodality needs help moving tables and chairs, setting up auction items, and preparing for their Lenten Tea -- and then help putting everything back when it is all over! The ladies would love your child's help for even 1 hour that weekend! Contact Barb Bott at 636-947-3939 or bjbott@msn.com if your child is interested.
